Abstract landscape using gestural marks to convey emotion. I started off with a few colours, and used broad marks with a large paint brush to cover the canvas. Responding to the painting, I then added to the canvas with smaller brushstrokes and a variety of colours, line and marks to add interest and make it into an abstract landscape. I hope that the viewer can feel the emotion that I have tried to convey in this painting, I really enjoyed doing it and seeing it come to life.
